Burna Boy Biography

Nigerian singer and songwriter Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, comes from Port Harcourt in the state of Rivers. He was born on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt to Nigerian parents Mr. and Mrs. Ogulu. They gave him a good upbringing in Ahoada before moving to Lagos State, where he finished his primary education. One of the most well-known Afrobeats musicians, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (born July 2, 1991), is better known by his stage name, Burna Boy. Burna Boy, who is regarded as one of the best songwriters and vocalists on the African continent, has lived up to the expectations, amassing a sizable record and a slew of awards.

For his fifth studio album, Twice As Tall, he won the Best World Music Album category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021.

Education

He went to Corona Secondary School in Agbara, Ogun State, and later moved to London to continue his education. From 2008 to 2009, he studied media technology at the University of Sussex. From 2009 to 2010, he studied media communications and culture at Oxford Brookes University. He subsequently went back to Port Harcourt and accepted a one-year internship at Rhythm 93.7 FM.

One of the few Nigerian musicians without a baby mama, Burna Boy is not married. He is, however, dating English rapper and singer Stefflon Don since 2018.
