The seventh annual South African Hip HopAwards took place yesterday night, 19 December 2018. This year’s event is themed Where I’m From, and was held at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.
Following the announcement of the list of nominees on Monday, 5 November 2018, voting lines for the awards opened on Wednesday, 14 November 2018, and remained opened for a full month, as voting lines closed last week Friday, 14 December 2018.
