The campaign against police brutality in Nigeria is growing and growing wider daily with the massive protests across the country. Today Friday 9th of October 2020 marked another major progress in the growth of the campaign. Just yesterday a fan tweeted at the pop star Cardi B about lending her voice in the current protest against the Special Anti Robbery Squad (Sars) in which she noticed and quoted saying she needs more information, she has not tweeted in solidarity yet but many global superstars have all tweeted in solidarity the likes of Satan Dave in the UK, John Boyega in the UK several super Eagles players and many more have joined in solidarity within the last 24 hours.
The Nigerian youths seem to not be relenting anytime soon as the tweets and protest are to be continued until the president and the federal government meet the demands of the masses and stop the Rogue police unit from robbing, killing and extorting young Nigerians. Many believe it is about time these rogue agents face the music by losing their jobs.
Looking at the global trends most especially at about 8 pm on Friday the EndSars hashtag is trending at the top of several big countries with the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom included all currently garnering over 5 million tweets. We can also confirm the hashtag is trending at the top of several African countries. The likes of South Africa, Ghana and Kenya included.
